Default Avic-N2 help

Hey I searched for this already and came up with nothing so please dont flame me....

I am trying to figure out how to bypass the n2 so DVDs will play while I am driving. I read on a different site that you had to ground the e-brake and solder two things together on the bottom but have not heard of any success stories to this. Can anyone give me any legit feeback on how to get the DVDs to play while the car is moving? Thanks!

crap - I hate to say yes, when I'm not sure how it was done........

However, if you can't find anyone else to give you the answer, I can find out. The audio guy that did my car has a bypass switch down by the gas pedal that lets me watch DVDs while driving.

I personally don't watch them, however, I have a music video DVD that I let play - that way I can sing my heart out and my passenger can watch the videos. Keeps both of us happy.

If I don't see another reply here in a day or two I'll ask my friend how he did it.

hey rodeo. i work @ circuit city as an installer in car audio. and wat u read is true. there is a way to bypass the satefy on the n2. underneath the unit. (when u remove the cage trim) there is a tape (green is i remember correctly) there is two solder points on the board. now... u will have to place a drop of solder into them. do this successfully without burning the board. and then u could ground out the e-brake and ur set.

if anyone wants to know how to bypass the AVIC D1 msg me...
