I have a quick question: If I install a N2 into my tC would I have to remove the door?
I saw a tC on the pioneer site (http://www.pioneer-itknows.com/yourcarn2.asp) that has it installed but i'm not sure if the door is still there.
Thanks

at the bottom, but i'm planning on putting it at the top and having it either flush mount, or kinda how 5axis mounted their n1 having a storage compartment on the bottom half.

do remember the D1 and N2's safety features are built into the software and i have yet to see anyone bypass it. (though... the only thing i've heard that works is plugging an external dvd player into the rear input..) as far as operating navi? still no.

There is a way to bypass it... it involves soldiering a connection on the unit...
I'm waiting for their next line to see how it looks.... the D1 is lame cause it doesn't play DVDs

i've heard of this "soldering" technique, but it isn't a simple mod to do without any effects. you tell me if you have solid proof of it working (without any side effects), because i'm interested in it as well. i need to see pics or something, cause doing such a mod requires some *****...
i did hear one side effect is the fact that the unit itself doesn't think you're moving (esp. if you're not connecting the VSS wire as well...) well... that's about what you have to do to have video, right?
