What do I need to install the AVIC-Z1 in my tC? I'll have the unit, bluetooth, ipod, backup camera, and XM Traffic adapter, as well as the part to disable all the "protection" features...but what else? Do I need a mounting kit? Can I hook my stock speakers up to it with no issues (I have an RS2...does anyone know if the system is different because of the subwoofer?)...just trying to get an idea of everything I need. I don't want to rip my car apart and find that I don't have a part...

EDIT: Also, I ordered a TCover...will this interfere with anything?

 

bump...most of my questions have been answered, I just can't find where to buy the metra kit...

 

metra? is the z1 double din or single din?

 

u wouldn't need the metra kit since the Z1 is double din.. you prolly just need the radio harness..

 

radio harnass, you would need to modify the stock bracket and drill holes 1/4 inch further back then the factory holes, also you would need a small piece of mds plastic to cut around yoru stereo install.
