Ok... just ordered my AVIC-Z1 off ebay - got it for $1215 with shipping, which, assuming the guy doesn't screw me, was a good deal. I'm planning the install and I just read the whole thread here:

I've still got questions though. My biggest is that I want to have everything ready when this things shows up so I'm gathering things I need to install it. So far I know:

1. I'm going to need those trim pieces that go on either side of the unit - what is the best mouting kit to use?
2. Is the wiring harness to go from the stock plug to the Pioneer wires really easy to come by? I'm not too worried about that one.
3. I've got the stock Sub, which is wired as part of the regular harness - will this work with the Z1 or do I need something else to make the sub work. I'm not super concerned about not being able to control the sub different, although if there was an easy way to do it, I wouldn't be opposed to that either.

1. Metra 95-8202 (circuit City sells it for $20) dash kit
2. Metra 70-1761 Toyota wire harness, gonna have to splice this harness to the Pioneer harness.
3. ???, I would think you could find a way to do it, but I dont own a tC so I cant try it.
