Ok so i just got my subs. Kicker comp vr. 2 ohms. I am pushing them with a kicker dx 1000rms amp. As for my speakers i have Polk DXI650. the frequency responce on them is 35-22,000 Hz. I am wanting to add bass blockers to them but there are so many different cut offs. What hz rating do i want to use? they will be amped at 50watts rms. I was thinking 150hz?

 

Does your head unit have a setting for that? Most do anymore... 150 would work. Too high and your music loses too much of its mid range in my experience. I'd first see if your deck has a crossover already in it. I think its called a crossover atleast..

probably way too late, but 150 hz is very high, 80-100 is ideal depending on your sub stage.

 

pioneer head units are great when it comes to settings and tuning; the high pass filter helps a ton like Erager09 said and yep its adjustable
