hey yall i just got my tC last week and i got some bad news that i cant mod it until its completely paid off so i was wondering what are some good speakers that can fit in the doors of the tC that have some good bass?
oh yeh some good speakers without an amp would be great because i need this as stealth as possible thx

 

lol, i was in ur same boat when i turned 17 and bought my 05' civic.

my parents wouldnt let me touch the car at first(even tho i paid 75% of it and the rest i was making payments on lol)

but after, "useful mods" here and there, ala, XM radio, navigation, blah blha blha

they just came to accept the fact that i was going to be spending money on my car no matter what. while being responsible enough to pay insurance and gas and payments!

yes i had no money at all to spend on myself lol


then i had the: i wanted a manual tranny in the first place but even tho i payed for my car you got your own way and im fukin not happy routine.

and i saved 5G's and traded in for my tC, which i keep buying all sorts of ____ for and my parents dont even think twice anymore when a package shows at the door.


what im trying to say is just go about it slowly, keep the newness for a month or so, ease them into it

they will bite

and p.s. no speakers have real bass anyway, its subs or nuttin

 

yeh i think i might be able to ease them into it but idn.
my friend had some speaker that shoock his ranger pretty nice so i know there has to be some out there or at leat pack more punch than the stockers.
they shake my side view mirrors but not enough

im sure anything u get is better than the stock crap speakers. alot of ppl praise them but i came from my totalled 99 camry and that thing sounded GREAT for stock. these are just horrible.i would upgrade these speakers i just have no idea on how u take out the panels.

 

does bose sell aftermarket speakers? my dad has a bose edition avalanche and those door panels are nice

 

Kicker makes some Mid-Bass 6 1/2.........I hear they slam for how little they are but you gotta put at least 100 watts on each one

well if u buy all new speakers and an amp to power them u might aswell buy the elemental designs sub and under mat sub box for a few bucks more.

for the rear speakers then put some nice components up front.

all that on a nine.4 plenty of bass but not noticible by your parents

 

do u think that that sub could fit behind the stock grid? on the rear speakers?

yes put those in the rear and they'll fit with a 6.5" baffle.

if your using hte stock deck, dont forget about the EQ mod thingy! that can get you some (minimal but worth a shot) lowend on the stockies.

i think u need to just tell dad to let u spend ur money how u want. thats what i did to my parents, and they just tell me to make sure i can pay my bills and im good.

 

my dads a stubborn jackass and doesnt even like scion.
he tells me just to be happy he's paying for it.
ill do some planning and check out my budget and take over payments then ill ____ with the car how i want to screw him

Good luck modding your car. Give your dad a Scion keychain, hopefully he'll change his thoughts about Scions. :D
