its all in preference the question whats the best sub and amp...is just so vague. there are so many things in account. especially with a sub...usually you pick the subs you want and then an amp sufficient enough to power it

10% equipment; 90% install.
Expensive audio is worthless if it isn't properly installed.
Whatever your budget is...just make sure you get it properly installed.

There used to be a store called Traffic Jamz on Foothill around Boston years ago...I think it's a Al & Ed's Autosound now.
They can work magic with whatever budget you're working with.
They still have their Encino location. Give them a visit.

You're in LC...are you the white tC with roll call stickers?

JL is good but wayy over priced... if your looking for a good sub, look up kicker, MTX, memphis or digital designs (DD) they make some awesome subs too! I would save up and plan on spending more than $400 for a setup, the install is gonna cost half of that alone!

The installation is the most important part of a great audio set up in my opinion.

A experienced installer can make your sh!tty Pyle subs and BOSS amps sound like heaven.

I don't understand why so many people drop so many bills on nice subs only to drop them in some generic prefabricated box that isn't going to bring out the best in the subs.

it really helps to learn how to tune a newly installed system to get that crisp sound. a good system tuned from the highs, mids, and low, no matter the budget, will always sound the best. the brand is just to personal preference and performance, just like cars

not to be an ___,but those are the worst prefab boxes I have ever heard.
The MTX or kicker prefabs are alot better(to me)
I heard the RF with about 500 watts and it just didnt do it for me
