I WANTED TO KNOW WHAT WOULD NOT ONLY FIT IN THE TC BUT WHAT WOULD HIT THE HARDEST AS WELL AS STILL SOUNDING GOOD.

I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO KNOW WHAT AMPS YOU WOULD RECOMMEND BASED ON THESE SELECTIONS ONLY.
i HAVE THE ABILITY TO GET ECLIPSE, KICKER, MTX, AND POLK AMPS VERY CHEAP.

There is no definite answer as to which will sound the "best" or be the "loudest"....

allthough I'm not a big fan of any of the subs you have listed, I'd probably go with the Alpine Type X's personally.

If you get 2 dual 4 ohm subs Type-X's, then you'll need an amp that's 1500-2000 x 1 @ 1 or 4 ohm mono.

 

a buddy of mine has 1 10" type x and it sounds hella clean! I think it would be overkill with 2 unless you have some midrange speakers to get some sound out?

^^^ that's kinda what I was thinking.... a good component set and seperate amp for them would go very nicely with a 10" Type-X and 1000watts....

 

none of the above. Check out JL Audio's line or Solo Baric's

 

W7's and L7's pound and pound good...however the Type-X will pound slightly less but can do tight accurate bass better than either.

 

i curently have 4 polk audio sr6500 component speakers that are 125 watts rms each speaker powered by a kicker 650.4 amp also delivering 125 rms x 4 but they seem to be a little to much for just one alpine type x 12". I would be powering each sub with a seperate kicker 1000.1 amp.

i have one 10" cdt es-sq sub that sounds pretty good. i'm using a phoenix gold xenon 600.1 amp to power it, and it sounds pretty good. i barely even have the gain over half and the headunit bass control is set at 1. cdt stuff sounds absolutely awesome.

 

I have two 12" Earthquake Magmas in my tC with a 2000w amp. They're in a fiberglass box that wasn't really designed for sound. These subs hit like no other. One day after my brother and I got home from Best Buy I asked (or axed) him if his ears felt weird and he said, "Yeah." So we turned it down a little. :D

treo ssi 10"!! i just got one about a week ago and i'm very impressed.

 

i also have a video but i can't load it anywhere cause it's to big of a file, i'll take another vid someday when it warms up a bit and post it up. ALSO. this is only on 300 watts, they want 750 to power it.

 

so does anyone that has commented actually heard what any of these setups sound like in a tc because im gonna be changing my current setup but im not sure what to get. It has to be one of the setups in the poll though.

I went to an audio comp last saturday and hit 143.0 dB with one 12" sub, and thats not even my best.

Here's what I have:
12" Image Dynamics IDMAX
slot-port box
JL 1000/1 Amp
1 Fd Rockford Fosgate capacitor (for now)
Eclipse DVD/NAV Headunit
Dynamat in trunk floor and hatch

Granted, the other speakers can't keep up with the sub but even at that dB the bass hits clean as a whistle! Great sound quality, Insane loudness. I highly recommend.
