The Big Three
Ok,
I'm about to start "The Big Three"

Question: Does anyone have the lengths of these wires so I can order the right length of wire and not spend too much?
1) Alternator Positive to Battery Positive (optional fuse)
2) Battery Negative to Chassis
3) Chassis to Engine Block
Also, should I fuse the alternator positive to battery positive?

will slightly increase your overall voltage and reduce voltage dips on heavy transients in music.
and thank you.

An old co-worker and I decided to this on his truck because I made sense to us. More wire, more paths available for current flow. We use 4awg wire on top of the wire that was already there. Does anybody think that's a bad idea? We were just worried about somehow making a ground loop. It worked just fine and we were able to an improvement with a mulitmeter. I just want to get some opinions.

That's what we figured. Plus we had no 1/0 awg wire. I've got a decent length piece I'm going to use for the ground but it's all I could scavenge up. I wanted use the actual chassis ( the chassis chassis of the car) so I could get a heavy duty ground but I think just beef up the wire at the OEM point is more than sufficient .

from alt positive to bat positive i'd say grab 4 feet, maybe 5 to be safe. you could always whip out a tape measure and make sure.
then 4 feet should be fine for both of the other ground wires. then grab 6 crimp ends. and to crimp them don't worry bout buying a crimp tool, i just used a hammer and my garage floor.

i wouldn't replace anything, just run extra wires. the more grounding wires the better.
