blue ignition halo mod
well, i searched and was defeated so i decided to take it apart and find out.. well, it got a little diffacult as there is alot of crap in there and you cant actualy take out the circuit board.. i could have cut some plastic to get to the led, but didnt want to break the copper winding wire... its crazy fragile.. also, the led is is on its side and has a white plastic piece on teh back tha slants down at like a 45o angle for support..so i just covered it in blue gell from a holiday gey window clingy thing.. frosties hat to be exact.. very very blue..
havent seen it done but i dont frequent this part of the forums so im sure im not the only one...
let me know what ya think..

I actually did this mod a long time ago, and i took the LED out, i trimed a little on each side to have some room to work with. When i put the blue led in, i affixed a curled out paper clip to the led via super glue and as i held the led in place i soldered it in place quickly..
It was one of those mods that i will not do again because of the Transponder wires right there, if you break that, your screwed.. hands off to Maqyver for do it this way..

pics??
I did the LED change in March of 07, it wasn't fun, i really didn't take any pics, i guess i had the ***** unlike Maqyver.. He is correct though, just do what he said to do, because if you screw up you may break the transponder ring and you'll never be able to start your car, try explaining that to toyota why your car isn't starting,, i would think that this part cost some major money
