I want a new shift **** and have always loved the BMW leather ***** but I doubt it will fit my tc. Do you think it will fit/ what kind of modifications do you think I'd have to do if it doesn't?

 

not sure of the thread pattern on their ****.but there area lots of similar leather ***** on the market that will fit .you can also look into sparco and momo ***** in leather that use allen pins to snug up the **** instead of screws.

 

most if not all bmw shift ***** dont have a thread pattern, they are a simple slip on

 

I have a small momo black shift **** but I dont like it neraly as much as the BMW ones. and besides the bmws are well weighted. and yes they are are slip on/ pull off ones. but does anyone know if they will fit the manual tc shift rod?

 

so they have pinch screws to hold them on......if so then they should fit.

Seriously? Because he likes their shifters? Wow maybe just because you have one and someone wants the shifter you shouldn't jump all over them?

I say just find someone who has a bmw and try theirs, if it fits and doesn't have the bmw symbol on it go for it, I love driving them at work and it always feels good. Just watch out cause most of the drivers are...well just look at the one above me...you'll get my point.

 

wow way to flip out because i expressed my opinion. I have seen many cars with different shift *****, mustang *****, bmw ***** and such, that doesn't make my opinion wrong because i own a bmw. I just think its a dumb idea and money could be vested in other places

neb, if you think it is a stupid idea then dont post. look at all the stupid mods out there, but those people are happy ( i guess). if this kid wants get a bmw shift ****, then just help him find one, you do have a bmw so i assume you know where to find OEM parts.

ohh no I know ppl at the local BMW delaership and can get for about $50 no prob. Id just take off the BMW logo. My dad had a z4 nd I loved the shift **** and I hate most of the aftermarket ones out ther so I figued wat the heck y not go for it. Dont worry im not trying to put BMW stuff all over my car and look like a tool or anything
