Default Boston acoustics pro60/50 installed

I was wondering if anyone had installed the Boston acoustics pro60 or pro50 in the front or the rear of their TC. If you have could you tell me about the process as far as if you needed to do any modifiying or us a template or spacer. Also how/ where did you mount the tweeter. Thanks in advance for your time.

you'll just need to make a spacer/baffle to mount the mid onto.

are your doors deadened and sealed?

the kick panels are a great spot for teeters in the tc.

36 square feet won't do your whole car. i did 30 just on my two doors. you'll need a lot more to do the whole car.

I figured it wasn't enough to do the whole car but like you said I'm going to start with the doors and around the back speakers when i install them and then do the rest of the car later on when I re do the interior in suede

that will work well........I have two layers in the doors........plus a square of v.4 edead bu=ehind the speakers and then a skin of edead on outer skins of doors under panels......same in the back seat except I also have paint on layer of edead as well as the two layers of edead and the v.4 behind the speaker.......then in the back it is just one layer on panels and 3 layers on floor......sounds really clear with no rattles and the mid bass is very good........hits hard in the doors and back........with good clean highs as well......

Might want to check out Elemental designs edead ......it cost less than dynamat.......and works great..........comes in 3 thickness selections and can be bought by the foot.......I spent about $130 plus shipping for all of mine........

TCguy, I Would never mount tweeters down in my kick panels highs drop off way to fast to mount them any lower than your ears. Anyway Biz, that's a lot of deading material, I wasn't planning on putting that much in but if I have to to keep all the rattles out I will. What is your set up as far as amps, speakers and everthing. I'm installing either the Boston pro50's or 60's or a mix of the two powered by a phoenix gold RSD500.4 and the JL 10 inch stealthbox powered by the RSD600.1 I have the eclipse 6620 with 5 volt pre so do think one layer would keep this system quiet as far as rattles

ok there buddy. put them where ya want but the kicks do work very well in the TC and other cars as well. my image or stage height is definitely not low at all. vocals at times sound above my rear view mirror. even at low to moderate volume my highs sound dash level.

have you ever tried anything in kick-panels? if not, then don't act like you know because you are wrong.

if you don't get your information from other people then why post on a forum and ask questions in the first place.
