Default Buying Avic D3 Help me out.

So im buying the avic-d3 from crutchfield because they are giving 0% interest for 12 months if u get there credit card. I want to know if anyone knows where i can get the accessories cheaper besides ebay. Pioneer CD-BTB200 blue tooth adapter, the steering wheel control cable, and the ipod cable, and anyone know anything else i should get with this thing? i dont do sat radio and dont need traffic updates. Help me since im probably ordering on Monday.

I really don't like buying stuff from eBay I bought my bluetooth adapter at Fry's for $149, brand new and I think the MSRP is $180 so I got a pretty good price. I bought the iPod cable at Best Buy for $30, which is MSRP I believe. I haven't gotten my steering wheel control adapter, because of the San Diego wildfires but the guys at the shop said it will be $65 for the adapter. Hope this helps your decision!

You're complaining about Crutchfield's accessory prices even though they include;

1. $50 off the MSRP...
2. A FREE back up camera...
3. FREE receiver kit...
4. FREE receiver harness...
5. FREE installation guides...
6. And FREE shipping?

Right there alone is probably a savings of $200. You don't ask for much do you? j/k!

Will the PAC SW-IPS steering wheel control interface work with the AVIC-D3, and also is it true that having the AVIC-D3, you sacrifice sound clarity, one of the downside compromises to having a navi. or is this a myth..remember i intend to have this running w/ subs and amps in my system also

yea, the PAC SWI-PS works for all pioneer/sony. sacrificing sound quality? not necessarily.

any back up cam should do. i like the boyo ones cause they mount on the license plate. i had the pioneer ND-BC2 and that was a great camera with a great wide angle, but OMG was it a pain in the butt to mount and conceal!

Careful with the BTB200 and Verizon Phones. Which cellphone carrier do you have? My advice do a lot of research on what phones work. I had to buy the VX8700 from Verizon to get it to successfully auto connect.

I'm 99% sure you wouldn't the VX8600 and VX8700 are pretty much the same internals. The exteriors look very different but I think the Bluetooh is unlocked just as much as the 8700 you should be OK. The only thing I can't do is transfer the entire phonebook to the BTB200 unit. I can transfer contacts one at a time. But I just use the phones contact list to find who I want to call and hit send. Close enough......
