Can anybody get a discount on Alpine LAT subwoofer?
I was wondering how the LAT subs by alpine are.

I can't get a discount, but I talked at length w/ Aplines VP of OEM Integration about the little sucker at CES. It really is impressive, not really THAT big, just kinda weird shaped.
It'd fit under the cargo cover in a tC, and only take up 1/2 the width of the hatch. Just isn't contoured to the same angle as our seats

can you beat the price on crutchfield? ....I think that price is high. Its odd that for $100 more you can go from 250rms to 500rms. Makes you want to get the bigger one but i dunno.
250 RMS is still quite impressive. 500 RMS is also impressive. In the world of amplified, doubling RMS will get you an estimate on max power (and vice versa), so a 500 watt max amp (which is what I'm running) is more than enough for most needs. 1000 watts is for people who want to bleed from the ears or make sure everyone in a block radius hears them coming.
its just a price thing - If i get this setup and dont spend the extra $100 .... I might be missing out. You would assume there would be more like a $200 gap if they are only offering 2 models
these things are quite expensive (because its new technology). unless you have a truck and lots of money to spare i wouldn't get it. im just curious what it sounds like, since ive never seen anything like this.
