Default can a stock head unit handle...

i have(plan to install) a jl audio 10w7powered by a jl audio 500/1 amp wired with a rockford fosgate 4 gauge single amp kit with a circuit breaker. and 2 pairs of mb quart dse 216 components. and i was wondering if the stock single disc head unit can handle it. in the near future im going to eventually get a screen. but as of right now i cant bare to drive without some bang, its been too long.

hmmmmm........does the JL amp have high level inputs???? also, are you going to amp the component system??? if so, does/will that amp have high level inputs??? this would be an easier route to take rather than getting a line level converter......other than that....it should be ok untill you get a screen.....

im not sure if the amp has high inputs. but i'd rather keep it as a monoblock. i thought if you had components speakers you dont need an amp (correct me if im wrong).

well....you don't NEED an amp....but it is a night and day difference with and without an amp on them......without an amp your components won't reproduce to their full potential.....and it doesn't matter what type of inputs it has it's is still a monoblock......high inputs means you use a splice from speaker wire instead of RCA's to get an audio input to the amp.....

I just dropped some Rockford Fosgate components in the front, trust me you dont want them "not amped", its sounds shi%, you pay all that money for components, get the most out of them - amp them

eDi 6500's. Used to have Fanatic X's from RF, my roommate has JL XR's. Easily better than both of those component sets. But do amp them. I have an Eclipse 8443 and I ran them off HU power for a while...amped makes all the difference.

Also, for a vast improvement in your midbass....seal your doors and deaden them.

Haven't heard the comps but heard they were decent....they do like a lot of power though to sound good from what i've been told. My buddy's got a 12" kappa perfect sub. Not a bad little thing.
