Hello guys. Newby here. I was wondering if you can install the Pioneer Premium head unit that comes in the 08's into an 07 tC. Does it plug in directly or do i have to make any modifications?? any help will be apreciated. thank you.

Yes they are direct plug and play no mods. I just did this in my 07 last week.

but if you're expecting the ipod to work.. you're missing a few wires.

sorry to resurrect this thread, but it's the same question i have. i have the pioneer upgraded hu in my '06 and like the look of the '08 one and see it on craigslist locally, so am wondering if i'd be missing the same ipod cables even if i have the ipod upgrade already, i mean, are they different in the '08? i assume not based on the previous answers, but would like some clarification, thanks.

 

if you have the ipod stuff in your '06 from the upgrade.. you won't be missing those wires i mentioned.

you should be absolutely fine.
