Car Audio Suggestions for an audio N00b
I have a FM 2006 tc and I was wondering if I could get some suggestions for HU's that can handle both Sirius and an ipod hookup. Ideally, I'd like to be able to control the ipod through my steering wheel or a remote as well. I've looked through a bunch of other threads and I've come to the conclusion that I dont think its possible to get an aftermarket ipod HU and still be able to use the steering wheel controls in the 2006 TCs. Am I right? Can anyone make any recommendations?
I live in South Orange County, CA (San Clemente). If anyone knows any reputable car audio shops in the area I'd be open to that as well.
Thanks,
-j.

Hey J. i work for circuit city as a car audio installer. if ur thinking of replacing your HU controlling ur IPOD directly, having SIRIUS and have a controller.... i would recommend ALPINE OR PIONEER. they both that systems that you can link systems together. Both companies provide wireless remote controls which is cool to control 80%-90% of all settings on radios. and both also have steering wheel addon controls u can add. (which are somewat okay). but both alpine and pioneer are SATELLITE RADIO READY. they both handle XM and SIRIUS and have IPOD MODULATORS. more companies are doin the same. kenwood/jvc/eclipse/etc.
Personally.. i recommend ALPINE great quality.. Pioneer is pretty popular. pioneer happens to be the #1 sold stereo name brand @ circuit city. eh.
