yes u have to get a clutch override if you notice when u start your car u have to have the clutch in.

i wouldn't do it. not worth it for the one time u might acidentally leave it in gear

There is one kit out there that has a magnetic neutral saftey switch plus a clutch override that would be your best bet still very risky though I install remote starts myself and won't put one on my manual tc not worth risk. You'll have to search for the kit though can't remember the name but most companies won't even make a remote starter for a manual car.

well, I always leave it in neutral with the parking brake on.. and so does my girlfriend, so I don't think i'd have a problem.

Ishan..... It only takes one time for you not to do that, and for it to cause a problem

just put a brick on the clutch pedal... lol... i knew a kid that used to do that.. my car has a remote start.. and its stick,,, if jou do it... all you need are some relays.. make sure you activate both switches on the clutch or it wont work,,, and if you end up not being able to start the car at all afterwords... under the hood in the fuse box is a fuse that controls the clutch...
your best bet is the magnets for the linkage.. and i havent seen these in some time... they are hard to get a hold of...

It'd buck forward/backwards then stall. Remember that when you start the car there's also a surge in revs so that won't help either. You'll buck pretty significantly.

get the compustar alarm/remote start. that's what i have, it works(built for manual transmission cars). it won't allow u to remote start unless the car is shut off in a certain way-brake, neutral, then ebrake engaged. if that order isn't followed, then the car can't be remote started.

yellotootr, I was thinking about getting the compustar remote/alarm for manuals. Do you like it? Was it difficult to install? Does it really have the awesome remote range its meant to have?

I have an AstroStart two way pager/remote starter/alarm for mine. You have to active it by pulling the ebrake up twice. It's never active if you are in gear. The thing is you have to remember to turn your lights off, it will disable the automatic offs when you open the door cuz your engine will still be on until you close the door. Once you open the door again it will deactive.
