Default CARBON FIBER DASH APPLIQUE

DO ANY OF YOU SCION TC OWNERS HAVE THE SCION TC FACTORY CARBON FIBER DASH APPLIQUE KIT IN YOUR RIDES, I WAS JUST CURIOUS ABOUT THIS ACCESSORY, IF IT MAKES YOUR INTERIOR LOOK A+ OR, KEEPING THE SILVER LOOK IS BETTER. ANOTHER THING I JUST RECIEVED TODAY MY UPGRADED COLOR STEERING WHEEL FROM SCION AND PUT IN THE CARBON FIBER INSERT I GOT ON EBAY, THAT GOES IN THE STEERING WHEEL CENTER LOGO. IT TOTALLY IMPROVES THE LOOK, AND AT THE SAME TIME YOUR KEEPING IT OEM, THATS IF THATS WHAT YOU WANT, I WILL INCLUDE LINKS TO THE CARBON FIBER DASH APPLIQUE, AND THE COLOR STEERING WHEEL FOR THOSE WHO ARE KIND ENOUGH TO GIVE ME YOUR OPINIONS.PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LINK TO THE STEERING WHEEL IS NOT WHERE I BOUGHT IT, I BOUGHT MINE FROM TOYOTAMALL1..MUCH CHEAPER, ITS JUST THEY HAVE NOT UPDATED THEIR PICTURE TO SHOW THE RADIO CONTROLS, SO I FOUND THIS PICTURE THAT SHOWS IT, HOW IT REALLY LOOKS LIKE. PEACE OUT..

GO MARLINS

I've seen it, and i think its real nice and such, but I would never give up my stock dash. They designed it well and I think throwing on another texture is too much. Now if you go all out and say get the dash kits from firmware, then yeah I can understand because then you're neutralizing all that space and then making the carbon fiber a dominant texture, but just adding it in a single place isnt enough.

In my opinion, of course.

I think fake carbon fiber doesn't look good. Thats my opinion. But then again my radar detector wire has worn the silver off my dash in less then two months so it may be a good protector for the dash.

I would see if you can find some good pics of a dash with it on and see if you like it or not.

for your radar detector wire wearing off the silver off your dash, you should have done what i did ahead of time. i went to a hardware store and bought some real thin rubber tubbing "which looks pretty nice" insert my radar wire through it and cut off any excess, i have avoided any loss of my silver dash

I had never actually seen the dash appliqué I was not aware that it was real carbon fiber. I was just assuming that it looked like the B pillar appliqué which you can tell is not real carbon fiber.

How much is that dash appliqué?

The wire on my radar detector is actually a soft rubber I never would have thought it would wear my dash down. It shouldn't wear down after a month or so of use either way though.

well.. actually.. the B-pillars are real CF too..
they kinda look fake perhaps... but they're not.

the cheapest i found for the dash applique i've seen outside ebay is $119 something at trdsparks.

which is pretty good there since it includes other items that's normally not part of the dash applique set (i.e. the rear deck trim... logo inserts)

Default Carbon Fiber Dash Applique

I took a look at the one from TRDSparks and the description is simulated carbon fiber, thats why its so cheap..the next best seller that has the real carbon fiber kit is toyotamall1 on ebay, who are also a toyota/scion dealership who i have purchased many items from

I got it from TRDsparks.com
Some people/vendors say it's real CF but I highly doubt it. Real CF is hard not plasticky/stickerish
