hey there guys i have searched and searched all scion forums and i cant find nothing relating to this. my center console lights were the heater and ac **** is at turns off when i turn my headlights or parking lights on but turns on when they are off. I noticed that when i shut the door to the cd player they came on when the headlights were on for only a little bit and they turned off right after. I did that a couple of times and it is making me mad cause ive only had my car for a couple of months and it is frustrating me. im getting ready to do all full megan exhaust , injen intake and apexi afc controller and i want everything to function fully the car is stock for now. what should I do about that problem ? does anyone else have or had that same problem ? PLEASEEE HELLLLP ! ! !

 

check your fuses in your pedal area, that could be it. sounds like an illumination wire problem. if all your fuses are good, and you havent done any work in that area (LED swap, new HU, etc.) then you might just wanna have it checked by the dealer... cause that indeed is quite odd :/

 

Take it back to the dealer, I had a broken body rivot (not sure if i spelled that correctly) that took them 10 days to fix...it was rattling so horribly I had to get it fixed...it was all covered under warranty....

 

Did you try playing with the dimmer switch as well? It sounds like a fuse/short problem but it doesn't hurt to give the dimmer a shot.

 

yea i tried everything and tommorow im gonna take it to the dealer in the morning and have them work on it and have them give me a rental cause i need transportation. i go to school and then from there i go straight to work so no car is hard and i dont have any days offf you know so something but yea i played with the dimmer and nothing it only turns on when i shut the cd cover and then turns right off. i hope they dont have to splice into it to fix it cause that just makes me thinck more about the problem.

 

Has anyone had any luch with getting this problem fixed? if so please explain what caused this. i'm at 58,000 miles and warranty is out.
