Center Console Replacement?
I cant figure out where to buy a center console replacement for my 06 tc. The only place i found that sells it is the dealership and they want an insane amount for it. I was wondering if anyone knew of any places that sold it or knew the part number of it.
the part is so expensive due to the HVAC controls. If you check the classifieds, you might be able to find one cheaper

the hvac is fine its just the plastic casing around it got cracked.
the dealership wanted around $100 for the center piece
another $100 for the door for the radio
and another $100 for the vents above the door
the guy i talked to said it would be over $325 which is ridiculous for pieces of plastic
does anyone know the part number or i guess part numbers for what i am talking about

Much higher risk of getting ripped off on ebay.
For example, not that they are trying to rip you off purposely, but that second ebay link says 05-09 and contains the HVAC. the 07+ hvac is NOT compatible with the 05-06 and vice versa.
Also LOTS of people getting ripped off via ebay regularly.
I am not saying to stay completely away from it, but just do your research and buy smart on there so you dont end up ripped off.

^ I completely disagree.
Ask the seller for the model number off the HVAC and compare that to your own.
Often times the sellers do not know simply because they get them off junk yard cars or are a parts recyclers themselves.
There is very little risk of you being ripped off on eBay and if you want to be sure before you purchase something just PM me, i'm an eBay PowerSeller check me out au_caincc
eBay is your best option and I actually have another center piece but it is at home in Atlanta. I bought mine off eBay this past summer.
I purchase a lot off eBay, just pay with your credit/debit card and you have 2 forms of protection, one being the PayPal buyer protection for items that never arrive or items that are not as described as well as credit/debit protection that covers the entire spectrum from your credit/debit card issuing bank.
You should not fear eBay, embrace it,
, seriously use it, ask the sellers for the HVAC model number before you purchase it and once you confirm it matches that of your own simply purchase it or bid on it within the last 15 seconds of the auction.

It's helpful to have the parts ready. You can check www.toyodiy.com/parts
Just enter your vin # and it's all there for you. Really easy to see everything.
Since I just ordered some of the same parts, here you go:
Center console instrument panel
Part#:55411‑21020‑B0
Radio Door
Part#:55410‑21010‑B0
Center Vents
Part#:55670‑21030‑B0
They are much cheaper than those prices listed. But this site is great to get the full part #'s.
I can't tell what prices he'll get you, but for instance, I just ordered the center vent which lists for $122.68. I paid $78.72
Hope this helps!

I know large numbers of people who were ripped off on ebay. Just because some were able to get money back through their credit card does not change the fact that someone tried to rip them off, nor does it remove the hassle. Just like I posted above, the person in one of those ebay sales claims compatibility from 05-09, which is 100% incorrect. So someone buying that 05 module for an 07 would find out it would not work.
I have mapped out the circuit on the HVAC (to create the mod) and done hundreds of swaps since 05. I have helped a good number of people find replacements when they broke their LCD trying this mod on their own, and I found every one of them through car-part.com for $100 or less including the waterfall bezel. You have to search by year model, so you tend to get the right part that way, and every yard I have called will take them back if they are damaged or faulty when you get them. Since they are salvage yards that deal with selling autoparts as their business, they tend to know a bit more about what they are selling in my experience.
I am not saying never to buy from ebay, but you need to be careful what you are getting. Most everyone that is on the forums knows what bs you can run into on there.
Examples like the above are common. I know of 3 people recently who bought hvac led kits that "dont need the resistors" off sellers on ebay... obviously false, and now they need the kit to fix it.
Ebay is great, but like craigslist, you get anyone and everyone selling.. and the seller rating tells you almost nothing (Easy to fake that) unless they have thousands of reviews. So, like anything dealing with the public, you must take caution.
