Default Changing OEM Seat Cover

So a few years ago I put a hole in my driver seat from sitting down on my keys. I finally got around to ordering a brand new bottom seat cover but I was wondering how to go about installing the new one.

I'll probably take my seat out to do the install, but is there anything I should know before I attempt this? I realize it will probably be hard, but the hole in the seat was starting to rip and look really raggedy.

Anyone ever take the oem fabric off the seats?

It would be just like replacing with leather DIY
here is a link to the thread that helped me with replacing with a Ebay leather kit.

You will need hog ring pillers or you could use 1/4" cable ties like other have. Remove the seat and start at the bottom, make note of what you are undoing to take off the old set and install the same way. The hardest part would be getting the hog rings in for the center part of the seat and back.
Good luck, just take ypuur time and all should be good.

I have removed the back and I wish I had not. I got it back on ok but the $50-$60 the trim shop would have charged would have been worth the money.

Thanks for the tips.

I wish I didn't have to do it but the hole is only going to spread and look worse so I'm taking care of it now. I don't know of any shops where I live that would be willing to do the work but I don't really like other people handling my car for some reason anyway LOL.

Any interest in a DIY? It might be helpful for people in the same situation of just replacing the seat portion.

I really wanted clazzios, but leather where I live is a pretty bad idea, and the Suede fading would be an issue as well, so I decided to stick with stock seats until I can afford some Corbeaus
