Default Choosing Front Components

I'm upgrading my front components from polk db6500s and I've narrowed it down to this:

Rainbow CS 265 Profi's - $500
CDT Audio HD-62/M6 - $500
CDT Audio ES-620 - $500
CDT Audio HD-62 - $400
Mmats PRO 6.5 - $330
CDT Audio EF-61FG/TW25 PRO - $300
A/D/S 346cs - $140

my price limit is 500..but the lower the better..im pretty stretched right now....i know there's some extreme price differences there, but ive seen all of those mixed and matched in comparisons with each other at some point or another so i dont think its all that far off...lemme know what you think ...im leaning towards the hd-62/m6 combo...

my main gripe with the db6500's is how they distort when i blare it with my windows down.....i would prefer not to have anything brighter than the polks.....i just want em crystal clear and REAL loud.

Think of them as...CDT HD-62's with more midbass and a more laid back tweeter.

Not trying to say buy them....but I had possibly the first set in a customers hands...and now I work here because of them

As long as the amp is set up properly and the x-over isn't too low...they get f'ing loud.

When I get to listen to music loud on my drives home(read: not with girlfriend) I do so at 78/80 on the volume **** with a Nine.2. LOUD as ____(technical term). Only downside to that, is with a single 8, they get too loud for the sub to keep up.

Feed them 40Hz at that, probably not sound the best...but mine are x-overd at 63Hz 12dB/octave and sound just fine.

4 ohms.

And actually, depends on how loud you wanna get

Nine.4(similar power) to 6500s + SQ10 on rear channels = nice setup for listening but not too loud.

2 Nine.2s(130x2 ish to the 6500s and 400x1 to the SQ10) = louder

You already have my input from your other thread regarding kicker components, and those comments still apply to this thread/poll, so I won't cover it all again. However, I will provide a synopsis by making a simple statement.

I'd rather listen to an average speaker in a good location, than a great speaker in a poor location.

So with your new components, are you still going to use the poor stock speaker locations? Just curious, knowing the stock location is adequate for some peeps.

nope...like i said earlier they're not gonna be in stock location....i'm going to be using velcro to attach them to different areas of the interior until i find an area that creates a good soundstage....they'll be mounted to that point.
