Default Cigarette Lighter power - 1 out of 2 outlets working

Hiya

Im thinking this is a blown fuse somewhere but the second outlet the one in the storage comaprtment between the two front seats is no longer showing any signs of power.. two devices I plugged in are not charging.. however do charge on the front outlet

Any advise
I quickly checked fuses this morning .. to no avail.

Have you ripped out the center console at all and forgot to reconnect the power to the one in there?

OMG same thing happen to me. I went to the dealer to fix it but but the fuse still have blown. The warn me not to twist it while anything is in the socket. But I never twisted before. Anyone know what's wrong? I'm getting really tired of bringing it into the dealer to fix it.

^^^ I dont know but the dealer didn't recommend me do it and told me the fuse can blow if I do so. Right now my 12V power doesn't work like gavmitchau's so wonder if anyone can find the problem to do bc replacing the fuse would just make it blow again.

i noticed that when i plugged my phone charger in either one it doesnt charge for sh and it .. ill drive for 3 + hours straight and i have no more battery then when i started and it had not been in use the whole time. sorry i couldnt help, if its not the fuse, you might want to pull the console and check the connection, you can find how to do this in a short shifter install ... ill give you the link... https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=36452

it doesnt show you the plugs, but once you pull out the cupholders you will be able to see a blue plug and a white one on top of it.. directly right of the e-brake handle, make sure they are plugged in, then look back inside towards where the plug is and make sure that its plugged into the console part as well.. hard to explain but you will know what im talking about once you look..

Here's a wierd one for ya...I have a power inverter that I used to use in the cigarette lighter near the cubby. It was a big one, so at times when I'd shift, it would hit it in such a way so that there was no power to it...Anyway at times, when I had it, this would happen, and then my elictrical system would go insane!! The tick to indicate the hazard lights are on would be going off, the lights on the gauges would be blinking on and off. Of course this would make me panic so I'd pull over. The minute I shut my car off, the car alarm goes off, and the only way to turn it off is be pressing the button to arm it, then disarm it. Wierd huh? I can't take it to the dealer because I can't recreate it, and they'd just give me the "look".

Yeah , get this i went there and they said oh you cant plug a radar detector into the front cigarette lighter, its only for a cigarette lighter > bs number 1. 2nd... i tried to plug that and my mobile phone charger in to the 2nd outlet and it blew the fuse again on the 2nd outlet. I said to them - look, ive had these 2 plugged in here now for 17,000 miles - they replaced the fuse again, did more troubleshooting this time, seems my phone charger was setting it off.,, clowns tho.. trying to pawn it off telling me I cant plug a radar detector into the front outlet - when it uses much less amps than a cigarette (heated element) lighter.........

beware of service center bull____ ;)

It must be a simple fuse blow... i've had it happen... I had a power inverter that went bad and i plugged it in both slots.. blew both fuses..... threw out that inverter and replaced the fuses and it works fine.
