i hear you might not need a wire harness and that u can hook it up to the steering wheel controls...is this true?

The Eclipse series that I know will plug in with out A harness is the AVN series. If you do need a harness ,they are very cheap less than 20 dollars.

Eclipse head units are always a good choice. Just find the one that fits your needs. Id look at the AVN 5500 at crutchfield.com. It is $899 shipped with all the needed hardware.

Clarion has always been a favorite of mine. In the past couple of years they have taken the eq away and i could not get new clarions to sound like the older ones could.
