Default Component Speakers and Factory Bazooka Subwoofer

I recently finished installing my elemental design component speakers. They are the edi 6000's amplified by a Nine.2 amplifier. It sounds much... MUCH... better than stock and i haven't really messed with the amp gains yet.

With this current setup i already hear shaking in the doors and some shaking near the back seats. Even my license plate fram rattles (now more than before).

My point being; if i go with a 13ov2 subwoofer powered by another Nine.2 amplifer i think my Tc will fall apart. This is when i started thinkin about getting the factory subwoofer.

Yes, it is a little pricey; i think its like $270 at mcgeorgeparts. But the custom box is just perfect. So it all comes down to the performance of the sub. How much base do these things have? Will it sound nice with my components? I bump mostly to hip hop music and i like bass.

What are your opinions. I can get a very good aftermarket subwoofer / amp for about $60-100 more with an inconvenient box.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Greg

The tC is a sturdy little car. I've had ridiculous amounts of bass inside it and it's been ok so far

Rattling is just energy running it's course through vibration.

Deaden the parts that rattle and you'll see your music in a
whole new light!

I'm thinking about going with ED parts in my box. Just need
to finish up my current projects first!

the bazooka enclosure is great-it's all hand made and definitely a quality enclosure. u can feel how heavy the thing is. the sub isn't so great. i have the enclosure and i took out the bazooka woofer and replaced it with a kicker 10". i got the box because i loved the way it left me with some trunk space. to get a box like that built, it'd cost u at least $300. ur best bet-try to find it on ebay-i've seen them sell for under $250. get the thing, take out the sub and put in the sub u want. this is what mine looks like now:

look at the amp that the bazooka sub uses-it's tiny, that's why it sounds the way it does:

yes, yellowtootr did run new wiring......factory wiring wouldn't be able to push more than an aftermarket 75watt amp or something.....

So its not worth paying about $270 for the factory sub then. I do care about trunk space, but i don't want to have to pay another 100-200 dollars or so to replace the sub. $270 for a box is just too much.
