Component System VS. Subs
Does anyone have the Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 component system?..from what i've heard they are pretty damn good, but idk if i should get that component system or run 2 pioneer 12's...they have 400 rms and 1000 peak...i want some hard basss but i still want clarity...anyone have any advice...?
There are much better brands than Infinity and Pioneer out there for stereo's....my suggestion is: get an amp and sub setup first, then get a component set and additional amp when money allows.......some good brands to look at are:
JL Audio, Resonant Engineering, TREO, Elemental Design, CDT, Boston, Focal, Image Dynamics.....there are plenty others.....but try to listen to as many different setups as possible then choose one that sounds best to your ears....be your own judge.....if you have any Q's, PM me...

^^^the Kappa Perfect's are $400 at Crutchfield.....for $400 or less, you can have MUCH better components....Elemental Design has the EDi 6500 series for $315 with free shipping that will sound better than ALOT of higher priced components.....
from a test crutchfield did, the infinity kappa perfect's were rated the best component system by 3 out of 5 judges...and well as for the pioneer's the only reason i say those are cause they were given to me for free..lol...but how much better will a component system really sound?
with most component systems, you'll have to put an amp on them.....but when hooked up correctly, they'll give you more depth, image, and stage to you music and make it feel more like a real performance....
Crutchfield probably only tested the components that they offer, meaning all the better sounding components weren't included in their test.....personally, I don't think any speakers/components crutchfield has to offer are that great.....

Why would anyone purchase from crutchfield when you have ebay. Crutchfield and other places similar are a great place to get specs etc but once you come to a conclusion about what you want to buy start with ebay to find your products. Sales also etc. etc.
well judging from what u said TC GUY a component system would fit me better prb, considering i want bass but i want to be able to hear the words with clarity at the same time, but since i already have the subs and u need to run an amp with most component systems, would a two or 4 channel amp do the trick of runnin my system and subs?
it depends on how many components you are running off the amp, if you are running 4, then a 4ch amp will work best, also remember that you have to have rated rms per ch to each component
playa: I"d say get a 2 channel for the components (one set up front, left and right)...and get another 2 channel or mono amp for the subs...if you wanted to,depending on power handling of subs/components, you could get a 4 channel and run the front 2 channels on the comps and bridge the rear 2 channels to the subs....the only problem with this is that you might not get enough power to your subs or you might get too much power to your components....
don't upgrade your rear speakers because they're attenuated from the factory, with an amp on the front components, it will give you a nice rear "fill"(or surround) effect....

I've never heard them personally.....I know polk makes a great sounding home theater system, but that's partially because of enclosures......look into EDi's 6000s components....they're a little cheaper than those Polks and will sound better!!!! PM mandos if you have questions about Elemental Design or their products...
For components, nothing beats MB Quart. And for subs, any square kicker will pound pretty hard. Even their lowest mondel the L5 hits pretty damn hard. You could get a Solo X, but get some plexiglass windows, because you WILL blow them out otherwise.
^^^alot of components beat MB Quart......Rainbow for one... MBQ's do sound great....but there are better.....square kickers do pound hard....but don't sound very good unless you do ALOT of work to them......
