Im a big fan of Alpine components, and the Type-Rs are very nice, but in general, the reviews of the eDi 6000s are VERY good

Get whatever sounds best to you. They're all great speakers...but what's best to one of us may not be the best for you.

i'm leaning towards the edi's...eh...i dunno..the type r's are at 70w Rms, the edi's at 100w Rms, and the CDT's idk actually i'm guessing 110wRms?..thats wat it says on the site..

i went with all cdt audio equipment in my tc, the cl-61 and ef-61 both with the satnet 560i x-over, the upstage kit and the es-sq 10" subwoofer. the entire setup sounds AMAZING. i have the ef-61 setup as a coaxial in the rear with the cl-61 in front. looking back, i should've went with the hd or ef series in the front as well. other than that, i couldn't be happier with CDT stuff.

hate to say it, but I'd call Alpine underpar in comparison to the eD's AND CDT's.... both are great products...
