Default custom gauge pod ideas

hey guys, im trying to develop a gauge pod that flows a little better then whats currently out there, and thats not a "stick on " pod. heres a mock up of one, ill post more pix of mock ups once i mock them up lol.

I was thinking more of a 3 pod (52mm) that would pretty much go over your existing vents, and would be angled twords the driver. i know alot of people love that heat/ A/C, so i was thinking mayb inserting a long vent, or cut out with mesh behind it, it might be kinda kool to light it up. This will be "molded" onto the water fall, which , imo makes it a little better, if you ever had to go back to stock, u would just have to find another water fall, vs a new dash lol.

This one is a little higher mounted and straight across

**please keep in mind, this is an EXTREMELY rough mock up lol..

I think I've seen this before, it's a great idea if you don't worry about A/C.

kool. im looking to be able to build it, mold it and provide it to the scion community, im just really trying to see what is going to suit the needs of most and wont be to hard to carbon fiber, altho i like to do custom 1 offs as well.

heres a 2 pod design with 1 vent.

i would be leary building a 2 or 3 pod down below the waterfall only b/c its not a visable, i guess for some it may not matter, but i would imagine those who need another gauge spot are implementing useful gauges lol.

Forgive me for not being tC owner (I got the xB2 for the space in back), but here's a crazy idea if you still want your a/c vents: instead of one long narrow slot, what about three round vents directly under the gauges, to mimic the gauges design? I have to admit that I didn't do look up any other aftermarket gauge clusters for the tC to see if my idea was already taken, but if my idea has not been used yet, I only need a small royalty of, say, 15%?

lol. that may work the vent is deff open for change. to me, thats alot of circles going on, it may disrupt the flow. idk. either way there could be an "aftermarket vent" option, the question is are many open to it vs having something that incorperates the OEM vents.

Agreed. A column or bezel pod for one or two gauges would be sweet.

I was looking to do this also for a dual gauge pod, but I don't think our steering column is big enough? Glow what you think?
