Custom system is now complete....
Well pretty much complete, i still have to get the rear seat panels completed but they're at least started. This project was started over a year ago and is finally nearing completetion, but now im thinking about removing everythign in the hatch and rear seat and changing it to FOUR Thunder 9500's.
The system consists of ALL MTX Audio except the head unit. The amps are the TA7804 4 channel with over 100 watts per channel at 4 ohms pushing the high end component TXC 6.1 and TXC 6.0 midbass, the other amplifier is a TA7801 mono block 800 watt @2 ohm and 1200 watt @1ohm.
The woofer is a 12" Thunder 9500 1000 watt RMS weighing in at 69 lbs in a 4 cubic ft enclosure tuned around 35 Hz.
The head unit is a Kenwood DDX 7017 dual din DVD/monitor, etc....
The custom install consists of three fiberglassed match painted panels in the rear that surround the MDF enclosure which has a 1 inch acrylic window on the front of the woofer to show off the magnet as well as the multi color LEDS inside the enclosure seen by mirrored acrylic installed inside enclosure.
The doors were chopped at the arm rest line and below removing the factory door controls and re locating the driver side controls to the switch panel to the left of the stearing wheel for both windows and door lock and completely removing passenger controls. Custom grill was fiberglassed to house the TXC tweeter over the midrange driver which sits in front of the mid bass driver. On the driver side door are fiberglassed into the door two blue digital voltage gauges to be able to monitor the voltage of the Kinetik 1800 series under the hood and the two Kinetik 800 series in the rear of the vehicle. Near the back of the door panel is a three quarter inch acryicl piece set into the door with a cust made graphic with the current gothic MTX AUDIO logo set over the SCION S logo. Toggle swith for turning on and off voltage gauges mounted in swith panel to left of steering wheel.
EBC controller to adjust bass of TA7801 custom mounted in center console below the opening for the arm rest.
The rear seat panels are fiberlgassed to house the amplifiers into each side of the vehicle showing off the lighted PRIZM effects of the amplfiers and allowing for the fan cooling. I still haven't decided how i want to finished these panels since a 4 yr old sometimes goes back there and i worry that if they're painted it will get chipped a lot but if i wrap them in suede they will get oily and dirty easily. Suggestions welcome and pics of the rear panels will be coming soon.
The pics are of each section of the fiberglass in as much order of progress that I can do. Hope you all enjoy and it inspires you to do something yourself. I am considering hte possibility of selling the entire hatch setup with panels, box, woofer, LEDS, rear panels with amps in trade for factory panels and cash to redo the setup. Any reasonable offer will be considered. Keep in mind I have poured thousands into this labor of love over all.
For those curious how loud it is i just scored my highest score of a 142.6 DB, thats with just ONE 12.
The car might be dirty in a couple pics and i know for some of the door panel i didnt have a chance to do a full detail before taking the pics. I will be doing a photo shoot next week hopefull and will be posting up better pics.

This is during the time i was going to try and be cheap by wrapping the hatch panels instead of paying more and getting them painted, I'm sooooooooo glad i decided to not go cheap. The material wasn't two way stretch and wasn't going very well being wrapped.

Looks good ...the models need to work on their modeling they suck at it and one needs to be lacking the twinky buffet for a while.
I started chuckling when I saw the blow up road block signs that was quite genuine and hilarious.
I got two of your Thunder 4500's and I must say they hit really hard for how much I got them for...but I have a w6 running with em to so it hits deep as well
