Default D3 or AVN5500

So I can get both for the same price.

I have the D3 right now and love it. Anyone any reason to switch it out for the AVN-5500??? I think the only reason I like it is beasuce I used to have an Eclipse and the sterring controls come back.

The D3 has 11 million POIs and the AVN 5 million.

Also Ive heard the IPod control on the 5500 is ok at best. The D3 has great Ipod control

I just wanna know if someone knows a reason to change the D3 out for the 5500???
Navigation any better????

I say stick with the D3. Besides, you can get an adaptor for the steering wheel controls. It's like $50.

for the steering wheel controls you can use the PAC SWI-PS to get them back, and you can actually program what you what each one to do, i have it on my deck right now and its awesome!

id say one of the best reasons to switch is because of the 5v preamp out of the eclipse. but pound for pound i say stick with the d3 since it has alot more functions and more room for customization

and yeah Im gonna stick with the D3,I dont like having alot of moving parts on the 5500,they tend to break sooner or later

Or you can go to Ebay and find one for about $30 less.

i'd go with the eclipse unit if you have any intention at all of keeping your sw controls. The pac adapters are more miss than they are hit shall I say. Also a pain in the butt and pricey for what they are IMO.

Again, you can get the blue tooth module on ebay for much less than crutchfield. How about your search for it.
