1) the placement has to be very specific, a sight change in th angle will make it fit.

2) Im not sure for 2008 subs, but is it connected to the original plugs for the stereo? If it has its own plug, its not going to work.

Sand down the back of the door where the **** is with a dremel and it'l close fine, thats what i did, no drilling new holes or anything.

to make the stock sub work you need to hook up the remote turn on wire to the solid blue wire from the harness that connects to the vehicle. Also when doing the brackets you need to move them so far forward that the round edge extends past the D3. You then cut those off.

ok we got thedoor to close finaly, and ill have to try that thing with the sub.

now one more problem. we cant get the steering wheel contorls to work. I think they changed the factory harness for the 08's compared to the 05-07's cuz the instructions that came with it say the harness has 20 slots....mine only has 16, we tried everyone but still couldnt get it to work. and it also seems like the wire on the 08's are diff colors than the previous years, bcuz the instructions say something about an orange wire, but i dont even have an orange wire on that harness.

anyone have a writeup or know a link on how to hook up the steering wheel contorls for an 08?

thanks!

http://www.pac-audio.com/swixprogram...ehicles&ID=357

your only going to use the white wire from the pac-swips. Then obviously the red and black for power and ground. Connect pin 6 wire to ground. Connect pin 7 to the INTERFACE's White wire. Connect one end of a 150 ohm resistor to pin 8, then connect the other end of the resistor to the INTERFACE's white wire. So basically you will have two wires, one with a resistor in series, connected to the INTERFACE's White wire. If the vehicle has Phone options on the steering wheel and you want to use them to control the radio, please use a 560 ohm resitor instead of the 150 ohm resistor indicated. Map/Info button is not used.

just finished my steering wheel controls the other day on my 07tc. Where are you looking for the connector? You should be looking at a connector that was originally pluged into the back of the oem radio.

Ya it all can be done. I have had an 06, then two 08's and put the D3 and the steering wheel controls in them all. It takes some patients but once you do it the first time it is cake.

Just make sure you take the D3 remote turn on wire to the blue wire on the after market harness that plugs into the vehicle. Usually it is for power antenna but in this case they are using it for the remote turn on wire for the sub.

but the 08 is diff.
the wire colors are diff, and there are only 16 spaces in the harness, not 20 like all the diagrams show
