Default Dead Pedal too FAT

Any of you guys get annoyed with how hideously and uselessly FAT the dead pedal is. It's think as hell and totally annoying, IMO.

I tried removing it, but then there's this gigantic ugly metal bolt in the middle?

Anybody find a good fix. . . well. . . besides cutting the bolt off with a hack saw or a dremel?

do you look at your feet while driving? i never noticed how big it was and never stepped on it thinking it was the clutch or anything.

i want to however get new pedals and have a matching dead. i hope the stock isnt too huge and look funny with an aftermarket

Same here. I also stand on that pedal when cornering or breaking heavily.

I like it. But then again, I'm 5' 8".

no, I think it is the perfect size. no where near the other pedals, so it isnt in the way. I love it and wish all my cars had them so I dont end up with a worn spot in the carpet right there.. cause that is where I put my foot. Are you just concerned with how it looks??

LOL.

All I use it for is my wallet.

Makes me feel better about putting in kick panels eventually...I can figure out a different way to get to my wallet

haha... I also use it for my wallet.

But no, I don't find it too big at all... it's the perfect size for my feet, which are on the rather, uh, large side

LOL, yep, it's a nice wallet snatcher tool. I never thought about it until I read this and I realized that I used it all the time. It's about the right size because I have my seat all the way back on the track and slightly reclined.

I'm about 5'9 1/2" and I feel cramped with the seat any closer, so that dead pedal helps; it's a keeper!

Definitely, I'm 6'3" and keep the seat all the way back, reclined a little, and it works great when I'm rolling through the Bojangles line for a heavenly Cajun Filet Biscuit....mmmm.....grglgllr

I guess I just have wide feet. It's a little too big, and sometimes my left foot catches it when clutching.

You could probably belt sand your foot.. but that would be messy, so I say you follow your inital plan and remove the pad :D

I havent popped it off to look, but if it is a non-removable stud underneath, then you could grind it off and then recarpet the floor over it. Just one idea.

I have my wallet on my right butt check, so it's hard to get my wallet out at drive thrus. maybe I should change my wallet to my left side...and use that dead pedal for that purpose.
