Default DEI 529t: Problem ($$$ for a FIX)

Hey guys,

I just got my Viper 5900 and two DEI 529t's installed. However, I've encountered a slight problem with the DEI 529t's. The problem is every time I use the auto close button for the windows in the car, the windows roll back down 1/4 the way.

Could anyone give me a possible solution to stop the windows from going back down when using the auto close button?

Thanks for any help!

Also, a thanks to mattieg for a lot help!

^Well the reason I have two is so one 529t rolls the windows up when the alarm is armed and the other 529t rolls the windows down using the Aux button.

Yup one 529T can either roll both windows up OR down or one window up and down. Thats why you need two.

Im glad to help I just hope we can figure this out. I feel like its something stupid that is missing.

Like i said above you can have one window go up and down or both windows roll up OR down but not both. When you have two you can have both windows roll up and down.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it probably has something to do with the anti-cut-off-your-arm-with-the-window circuit.

Basically, the 529t is rolling up the window and when it hits the top, the window circuit thinks something is caught in the window and rolls the window back down.

I'm sure a diode somewhere in the circuit could fix this.

i just got used to it and used that first "click" stop on the button. doesn't bother me as long as the windows go all the way up when i arm the alarm

^ same here, all i care is that the windows roll up. it actuallt worked for me a few times when i reset the window controls by unplugging them and then holding the switch but would then break again shortly after. thought about doing the roof as well but i like to keep my roof vented when im at work and this wont be possible with a 529t. i am however going to hook up a remote to the switch so i can control it like if i was in the car.

I have yet to solve this problem.

If there is anyone in Nor Cal that can fix the problem send me a pm. I'll gladly pay ($$$) for your time.

Thanks!

That's a temporary fix. I'm looking for a permanent fix. I've done that so many times is not even worth trying anymore.

But it's good to hear that your windows are working fine.
