It is a backup camera, it's not clear in that picture. I'll see if I can snap a better view tomorrow.

Looks like a legit instal and everything but why 4 so-so subs instead of one or two really nice ones?

I'm not saying my kicker is nice at all... IDK where you got that from, I know it sounds like ____. I've just not been physically able to work in the past 9 months and got it when I first got my license for $80.. I didn't mean for that to come off as dickish but it just confuses me. I mean I'm sure they're great subs but for the money/space he probably could have gotten better sounding, louder subs.

Well, not having heard his system, ever, I don't know how much your speculation is worth. The list of fullsize (not shallow-mount) subs that will fit in that little airspace is a relatively short one.

To put it simply, when he is driving behind me and playing his music, his highs and lows are seamlessly balanced and his bass manages to slightly wiggle my moonroof (when open), despite being 10 feet away. X_x Those 4 subwoofers are insane.

scionsareok, how did you come to the conclusion that these are "so-so" subs..... and how did you figure these aren't great sounding and loud subwoofers right now? My guess that you haven't even heard of Elemental Designs. This leads me to think that just because they aren't a well know name brand like Pioneer or Kicker, that you somehow justified that they aren't "better" subwoofers.

Take a look at the specs on the sub for yourself:

500 Watts RMS.... I don't have "two really nice ones", buddy, I have FOUR!

I'll withhold my comments on ED but props on the very clean install and the amp choice. The PDX line is sweet. I could have missed it but what does your front stage look like?

When you find a car with Image Dynamics in it it is a very close sound, many of the subs are about the same wattage and size and basket and cone shape, very close to each other in design, very close.

Funny you should mention that, his front stage and rear fill are all Image Dynamics.

I tried with my ID10s in a box built for the space they needed to do it and did no t care for the way it sounded,it probably has to do with the type of music I listen to though......mostly Metallica,Soundgarden.....crap like that, needs more tight bass.

i have my two twelves inverted and thats what i listen to as well. You can see the pics in my profile, but on the D3 it has an option to change in case you do have inverted subs. I love the way it sounds.
