Regarding the power:
PS2 You can do it inverterless...Oznium shows you how here:

that's a bit of a contradiction. you can go with a clean install or one that is simple to remove like velco under the seat..but simple to remove and under the passenger seat is not exactly 'show quality'. pick one or the other.

That's wrong. I know a guy who stretched 'em longer.
And it really bugs me how Australians call a ground wire 'earth'.

Parallel ATA standards only allow cable lengths up to 18 inches (46 centimetres) although cables up to 36 inches (91 cm) can be readily purchased. Because of this length limit, the technology normally appears as an internal computer storage interface. It provides the most common and the least expensive interface for this application.
this came from wikiepidia

and i kinda believe it

if you ever think about modding an xbox let me know, i do that stuff, i know that beter than ps2. but as for putting parts all over your car, the old ps2 was a no-go because the dvd tray wouldnt fuction properly if not on the gear track on the side of the case

how about clicking the link in my sig...
or maybe getting the current issue of Official XBOX Magazine on newsstands now...
Or maybe the current issue of Car Audio & Electronics on newsstands now...

or you could just [search] on SL.

you'll see that stretching IDE isn't so 'outrageous and unbelievable.' and the guy i was referring to.
