you don't need one...

there is an add on you can use to fill the gaps on the sides though

i read the review and it said that it come let you close your cover? i need a kit that can do that cause i don't have an alarm system right now so i need it to be close at all time im not in the car. anything else?

I have that mounting add on's from the link above and i can close my door. You just need to sand down the back of the closing door where the **** on the d3 is and it closes just fine.

^ or you can drill the stock brackets a little but futher (there are nipples where you should drill) so you dont have to hurt your hvac too. both methods will let you close it.
