it would be the same for both auto or manual, because the shift ***** that scion offer are universal to both trannys... the thread is 12mm (which i told you in the forst place molly... i guess i get no trust... sigh)

they are universal because they come with two threads, one for manual and one for autos, so not quite the same.

what do you mean? the thread size on both is 12mm correct? what do you mean "two threads"?

^^ you're a dealer and you don't know..... yay.. how typical..

the m/t has it's shifter thread as 12.. whereas the automatic is 8..

have you lookied inside the car to actually see that the sizes are completely different?? i dunno.. but the a/t's shifter seems to be alot more skinny compared to the m/t's... hmm???

the "universal" shift ***** comes with thread adapters which is what he meant by "two threads"... though not exactly what it is... but you get the point.

yeah, thread adaptor, sorry, i'm not super duper tech savvy with the proper jargon to accurately describe exactely which do-dad is designed to help make the widget fit properly on the gizmo.

yes i do. and i love how you like to sterotype people like that, especially as you being a moderator and more or less degrading someone with a comment like that. I have had no need to mess with the scion accessory shift ***** except to sell them, and the tech's screw them onto the car. I personally recommend a different shift **** everytime a customer looks into them though, whether is be through optimize, or outside on scion in general. I have a momo shift **** which has rubber adaptors, so again, I had no need to know the thread size. I think it is pointless for toyota to of designed the shifter like they did (thread size). I would think it would make more sense to use the same thread size... but I guess they are trying to save money anywhere they can.. and if using less metal does the trick... im sure after hundreds of thousands of cars it would add up using 12mm on an auto as opposed to using 8mm.

none the less... thank you for clarifying that issue.
