Default does tc radio have preamp outputs?

I want to install sirius radio but wanted to know if the tc has preamp outputs? ...i would imagine so because they would atleast be caused for the SAT button. Also, does anybody know if any of the sirius units have preamps ( left/right )? I know I can buy the unit so it can be installed w/ my factory headunit but dont really wanna do that.

as far as i know, the stock HU (the one that does NOT change color) does NOT have RCA preouts in the back. it has an AUX port inside your armrest. I haven't really used it so i have no idea what the port looks like, but i'm sure someone else can tell you.

the only way to have "pre-outs" with the stock deck is to get a converter. search the boards and you'll find the one people seem to recommend the most... probably what i'll end up getting too..

nope, you need a line level converter. i bought one for like $3 on ebay. it taps into your rear speakers and provides rca preouts

Default YES & NO

technically, there are no RCA outputs. yes, you need a converter. but if you tap into your rear speakers, you can alter their sound.

other day i was viewing Bazooka install guide & made a discovery. the subs input, remote wire & power all come from factory connections in back of radio. haven't done it yet, but using the Sub Wiring Schematics i plan to run my amp & sub off the factory connections. i'm running low power amp & bazooka claims '150w' so i should be ok. plus i don't have to worry about running wires through firewall, etc...

will let ya'll know how it turns out...

MotoMedic,

I tapped first into the rear speaker outputs for my sub/amp. Not as much bass as the fronts, so I tapped into front outputs next. Much better! But...

Could you post or email me the pinouts for the factory/Bazooka factory radio outputs? BTW, 06 Pioneer w/iPod upgrade.

TIA!
