Door lighting project
I'm not so knowledgable in the electronics of the tC but I had an idea and was wondering if any of you modding wizzes would like to try to make it or if anyone has done it yet. The circular piece on the door interior seems like a good spot to put a cutout graphic with backlighting (maybe "tC" or some other cool looking graphic image like on computer fan grills). The panel pops off rather easily and has plenty of space for LED's. I do not however, know where the wiring would be attached to. Anyone got ideas?

Whip out the DMM.
Poke leads to find out which ones give you 12V when the lights turn on.
Splice into them. One extra LED shouldn't kill anything.
I was doing that to my fog lights, to make the button blue, not green, but I lost the little adapter for the light and haven't finished it.
Please note, you will have to drill out a little hole to run wires into the car, but it'd look pretty hot.

the way i would personally do it... is when the door is open the light comes on... use your door trigger to trip a relay and then the light comes on when the door opens... that would be cool...
i just thought ... in my instance... i have all my windows tinted 5% and the windsield 35%... at night any little light can get obnoxious.... just me...
