Default Drilling out rivets in front speakers

I went to install my Alpine Type-R components in the front doors and began drilling out the rivets holding in the stock speakers. As I'm drilling, a metal ring popped off and a plastic ring popped off leaving me with these little pegs still stuck in the holes and I cannot get them out for the life of me. Anyone have any suggestions?

PLIERS.

Just grab and pull.

Or tap them through the hole and get them out when you remove the speaker

Thanks, I'll go try that right now. I hammered at it for a while with no luck, so hopefully the pliers will work.
