I think that radio is considered an oversized Din radio or a din and 1/3 radio, which is why the computer says it will not fit. It only knows that single dins and double dins will fit in. As long as it fits in the din hole of the dash kit, then there should be no issues or problems. I can check at work when I go back on Fri. if you like to see if it will fit in a normal din sized dash kit hole.

So its not a single din? Im a little confused sorry. Yea i would like to see. Cause i bid on one for ebay and i talked to the guy and i could get it for 300$ so that would be great if you could see if it would fit. It seems like a sweet unit.

It's hard to explain, it has an oversized face, so it can fit the screen, but has a din sized body. Pretty nice radio thou, $300 is a great deal. I'll try it on Fri. and can take a picture of it in a din dash kit, if you need a pic.

Yeah it's the law, TV/DvD can not be played within the drivers view unless parked, some units can be bypassed and others can't. But if you get busted by the MAN, you can pay heafty fines for having it playing while driving.

I'll let you know first thing Fri. morning(9ish), if it fit's.

It has to be in park? what about in a 5sp? does the ebrake trigger it. I was just thinking for like a road trip it would be cool to have it for the passanger to watch. but if it can happen.

Thanks for looking for me.

Alright CC stocks the JVC KDAVX2, which i beleive is the same model as the one you asked about. this one is just newer. It will fit in a normal Din opening in a dash kit, it is just very tight, but should work. The wire harness is different then the normal JVC wire harness, so you would have to wire the JVC wire harness to the Toyota female wiring harness.

Yea its the same model. When you say the wiring harness is diffrent, what does that mean. Will it be difficult to install? And will the cover still close over top of it?

I got it to work, with an inch to spare. Had to make my own c/f housing to dress it up. If you use the oem bracket, just use the #1 screw setting to get the right spacing
