Default eD stealth box--DIY instructions?

Hey guys

Ive been looking into subs and boxes lately. I almost settled with just buying a generic box from bestbuy (lulz) and picking up an alpine sub. However, the more I look into eD's slim sub, I continually want that stealth box more and more.

Now Ive seen members on this forum making stealth boxes with 2 SQ10s. However, I want to make the version with 1 SQ10, just like how eD would make it. Does anyone have instructions on making one? I know it shouldnt be THAT hard, but I have never worked with MDF or have any woodworking skills. (how would I measure 1cF?)

In addition, is there a way to make the stealth box vented? eD suggest that vented boxes need to be @ 1.0cF Tuned to 35Hz or .7cF Tuned to 30Hz.

If someone can help me out with instructions or advice, Id love you.

Hey Nikki,

If u need anyone to run the wires for you. Im your guy (again).

Installing the box itself is easy, it drops right in.

Well if you buy the box from them, make sure you ask them how long it takes for them to make it since its custom order.

i built one myself. Pretty easy. I just took the foam piece out, used that to make a top and a bottom for the box, then built walls where the top and bottom overlap.
Or i could sell you mine for alot cheaper than eD would. I blew my sq10 anyway(too big of an amp)

hey, if you cover shipping, then i would let the box go for pretty cheap; lets just say MUCH cheaper than eD wants for theirs. Make an offer and i will probably accept because it isnt doing me no good sitting around collecting dust.

Bump.

Does anyone have the dimensions of the box? I would like to know the shape and length of each side so I can create one.

It's the same size as the foam insert.

I've got the eD one with the SQ10 and frankly I don't like it. SQ isn't great and it certainly isn't all that bass-y. But for $200 it saved me a lot of time (otherwise I would have just built one).

wow thanks a lot!

My only question left is.... how do i mount the sub? I see that its recessed into the top (plate?). He said that he used a baffle, but how would I make that? Can I buy one that will owrk for the SQ10?

Also, how deep do I offset it so that it sits correctly flush with the top, or how its suppose to be?

Alight, heres the easy way. Trace the foam insert, cut out a piece of .75" MDF in that shape. Next make a simple rectangle box that has a total height of 4" and a volume of .5cF. Cut the hole out of the box and mount the subwoofer. Cut out a corresponding hole with a diameter of 10.25" out of the larger wood piece (the one which you traced of the foam insert). Nail the two pieces together.
