Default Elemental Designs eDi 6000s v.2 System Question

Will the Elemental Designs eDi 6000s v.2 System sound alright without an amplifier?
If not most likely the best solution would be the Nine.2 right?
BTW I have the Alpine CDA-9856 18w RMS x4 weakkkk
Thanks for your input

they would probably sound decent.... would be a good upgrade from factory untill you could get an amp...

If you're not looking for deafening pressure levels, a Nine.4 with the 6000s v.2's on the front 2 channels and an SQ10 bridged on the rear channels would sound REAL GOOD!!!!

They'll sound OK w/o an amp.

They'll sound better with one.

They'll be shipping about the second week of January

^^^ you'll be glad you waited with the price you're paying... That's one thing I've noticed about eD... all their products could easily sell for almost double what you actually have to pay, the product is just THAT good!!

I hope so. I can wait but I wanted to complete this project during winter break so I am not trying to rush the job during school. We'll see. My last set of mids were Morel Integra 6's.

just curious, since you had such a high end speaker before, why did you choose the entry level of eD's instead of the 6500s???

Mainly because they were on the forum discount page. I saw the video on them and like that they are convertible. I plan to use them with the tweeter mounted in the rear and separated up front. We'll see.

Personally, if you wanted rear fill, I'd say 6000s in the back, 6500s up front.

But that's just me.

If you have any questions about the speaker, let me know.

Unfortunately with the forum discount page, there's really no way to show that they're in production, the link to the actual specs for the item would take you to the main page for it though showing pre-production.

We just left them in forum discount for the people that wanted to make sure they got some(there won't be a shortage of them).

Hey, no problem. I guess I should have researched better. I think I may change one set to the 6500's. Can I just email or what do I need to do to change the order? And can they just ship all at once in January?

TIA

Meh. I will just go with what I have ordered and if I don't like it, I will consider the 6500s.
