I've ordered from them LONG ago

They get cheaper products, most cause they get closeouts, refurbished items, and in some cases, buy in large bulk numbers... you really need to read closely sometimes, as some products are refurbs and don't carry the same warranty.

From posts... looks like the great IVA-W200... at a good price, compared to others.... most places are selling it for 900+, which is WAY above cost... I got mine for 650 at cost +5 percent.

Just as a side note, I just ordered the Garmin Nuvi 360 online from buydig.com for about 200 less than most are selling it for (899 ish). Wondered if it was secretly refurbished but in fact is came just as advertised, new with warranty, etc. Not trying to plug for them as I saw it at shipdog.com through the CNET website for the same price.

Just wanted to say the Nuvi 360 is the sweetest little toy I've bought in the past year. Amazingly intuitive interface, love the way it actually tells you street/exit names and not just "turn in 100 feet", and the best part is the bluetooth integration. With most phones you can automatically download your phone's phonebook into the unit and make calls through the Nuvi. Add the fact that any business that has a phone number listed when you look it up you can call it with one touch and it makes it like a nationwide phonebook in your pocket!!

From what I have seen, the only difference between the 360 and 350 is the bluetooth capability. Both use the same software for the interface, it's just the 360 has the addition of bluetooth. I compared against my friends 350 and this is true. I have heard there is a third party screen overlay that improves clarity and reduces glare and is said to make the graphics more crisp but I haven't found it yet.

i had a bad experience with etronics a few years back when i ordered an alpine head unit. it came broken and it took over a month to get me another. they said they couldn't just send me a new one, they had to try to fix the one i bought first. it was BS. they have great prices but i will never dal with them again.

they have great deals and pretty sure they have a good return policy, would definately buy from them for less expensive products but the reason why its so cheap is because they are not authorized resellers. like tcguy said stores like these are like the swapmeet, low prices, poor support. you are taking a big risk. if you take this route, just hope nothing goes wrong. crutchfield is the only online dealer for alpine and will include free dash kit, harness, and free techincal support for life. also by doing this you will support alpine so they can continue to bring us great products. so my advice to you is find someone who works at best buy and you will get a very low price and support alpine at the same time.
