Default Factory Head Unit differences T1806 & T1807

Other than appearance, is there any functional difference between the head units marked T1806 & T1807?

Is the T1807 just a new version of the T1806?
Doesn't the T1807 also have the iPod hook up?

Interesting I bought my 07 in July 06 and it has the 1806 but yet apparently Scion started putting the 1807 in them. Kinda look the same, wonder what the diff is too. Quick google search came up with this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=250114596619

So yeah I wonder if the dealer will exchange mine, hmmm

AMDforever,
Are you planning to upgrade your stereo?
If so; will you be selling your T1806?

No, not anytime soon. Got some cards to pay off, then probably gonna get a navi unit if I do upgrade. Kinda like the unit I have already though...just no navi on it

Yes the t1806 is the iPod headunit.. the t1807 is the standard stock scion radio, without the iPod capability.

Thanks for the info.

Now I know I want a T1806.

I think the new T1808 is also an iPod unit. Hmmm.

I have seen a photo of the T1808. It seems to have all the same buttons and layout; but the buttons have a square look to them.

I saw one photo of a T1806, that someone had painted the pair of *****, blue. This matched the blue they had painted the dash pieces.

The ***** must be removable; so I will probably pull mine off, and paint them black, to match my factory dash clolr.

yes, but you won't have ipod capabilities without extra work.

you're better off going aftermarket.
