I thought mine where fading too. The driver's side seat was turning white. It turned out to be water spots where I had opened the door in the rain. Just spray Armorall on it, and it should go away. Theres another thread on this somewhere.

Okay I'll try the armor all. I've never cleaned my seats before. It could also be from me getting in out of the car. I notice I tend to slide in. I think Toyota should replace it for me. I've had 3 other toyota's and the upholstry never had problems like this. Personally I don't even like the tc upholstry very much anyway.

You mean wear or fade? I have lots of wear around where my wallet is and where my wallet slides as I enter the car. It sucks... a lot of people say they don't notice it, but I do big time. That's why I kinda got interested in that microsuede seats offered in the 2.0... or just aftermarket seats.

Watching this...I too have rain rings on my Driver's seat. I'm curious what will work for them. Hopefully, somebody will have a solution.

I had the same spots and I just used a hoover carpet shampooer with an extremely mild shampoo (basically soap).

I'd say if you can get a small "portable" shampooer like a Bissell, it would be the best solution.

so using a wet/damp towel and rubbing over the seat wouldn't help? i use to like the tC interior fabric, but after i realize that it leaves white rins behind if it's exposed to rain and skin flakes accumlates so easily, like on the arm rest areas where people rest their elbows. if you elbow a part of the fabric you'll see white spots from you skin. not good. all i do is vacuum and white off with dry cloth b/c i don't want to risk the fabric getting wet and staining.

It's on a lot of tc's. I have it on mine and I've seen it on others. What is the final answer? Armorall, Carpet Cleaner, Soap/water, Wet/dry towel?

It's funny that this thread came up. It was not even 2 or 3 days ago that i noticed that my seats especially the drive side that it is fading bad. I am thinking about just replacing the seats with some nice sparco seats or just having the interior redone but with leather and make it two tone. Does anyone maybe know of any good covers or price ranges for a redone interior?

Same problem here,

its turning almost white, and rubbing it with soap and a towel does not fix it.

if toyota tells me no, im calling scion Directly, This S h i t should not happen in a BRAND NEW CAR, my moms lexus did this last year to, she cheaped out, and did not get the leather

I figured that I'd let all of you know who are in the same boat as me. I brought the car to the dealership today regarding the seats. Not only is it covered on warranty, but they did it in 1 hour while I waited! Looks beautiful once again.

Now, how to keep it from doing that again? <--- I don't know. Is there anyone reading this thread that hasn't had this problem???

Thanks for the tid bit. I'll let the dealer know next time I have my oil changed. It won't be for another 5000 miles though. Hopefully they will do the same for me.

Hey a bit off topic but, do you have to go to the same dealer where you purchased your car to get your warrantied stuff done or can you go to any dealer?
