Default feel of the short shifter

I recently installed the short shifter from creativecompacts. It feels really stiff when I change gears compared to my stock shifter. Is it normal or do I need to add more lubricant? If I add lubricant, will it shift smoother? This is my first time driving with short shifter. Any input will be helpful!

Hi, depending on the tolerances used when machining the shifter, a shifter from one compagny may feel stiffer, if it's too tight in the housing. On the other hand, you don't want it to be too loose either, because it wouldn't be an upgrade. What you want is the perfect clearance between the main pivot point and the plastic housing.

We design, make and sell TC short shifters for over a year now and every shifter has thos tolerances.

Thanks,

Jean-Sebastien

i wouldn't really say stiff.. but crisp... i love the solidity of the TWM stage two.. i got their bombshell **** with it too and it feels great...

also, i upgraded my bushings to something more solid... that also makes things feel even more crisp. and umm... doesn't hurt if you grease it up a little bit. i just took my finger and smeared some of the old stock grease onto the new one when i installed mine... it's not much.. but it works..

yea it's alot stiffer but it's a good stiff ... haha anyways u gotta use it for a couple of weeks then it will feel good... when i first put it was crazy stiff and it didn't even want to go into the center of neutral on it's own... but once everything settles and all lubed it turns into the good stiff... enjoy
