I wanted to make a DVD compilation full of different types of music videos and i had a few questions.

First off, what is the best format? i know the d3 can play only a limited number of file formats, i heard xvid was the best for video quality, is this true?

What is the resolution of the d3? i've made a music video dvd before and it seems as if the video is cut off when i'm using 16:9, and when i try to do pan scan it doesn't use the whole screen. neither does letterbox.
