Well, like the title says I think I'm the first one to do a pink LED swap on a tC. I've had the gauge done back in late march but now i have EVERY amber led swapped to pink (but the ambers for the a/c select). I did HOURS upon HOURS of researching to find cheap pink smds. Apparently only the UK and China make them. ::shrug:: By the way, this is on my girlfriend's car.
To the guys on the forums, would you be embarrassed being caught in this? I take the lei down when i drive, but i still wonder.

It's on a Flint Mica. You'll see it driving around Orlando. I'm trying to get her to go with me to your (RedneckwithanxB) Thursday night meets.

And I got them off of ebay.uk...however, the person is taking a break for the summer. So i think the only way to get them now is to MASS order them from a company in china. I had the link somewhere, i'll have to look again.

Looks very nice. My fiance is planning on getting an xA in the next couple of months and wants to do a pink and green theme on a SSM. I will definately have to get the information on the pink LEDs from you when we start work on her car.

haha thanks everyone and thanks skeletor. I'm just lucky she'll let me do this...it's a nice get-away from life. Well until she walks up behind me wondering when we could leave since I do all the modding at my brother-in-law's house, cause i don't trust the thugs in my apartment complex one bit. As soon as they would see how easy the tC disassembles...they'd be all over it.

I think the pink would look better on a white or black car the most. but pink is the new black, haha.

that is bada$$ you should paint the needles pink too with an acrylic... it would look siiiickk

 

whereas technically you are the first person to actually install pink leds (which i had difficulty finding cheap ones)

you are not the first person to have pink.. *cough*.. lightish red.



yes.. i am a guy.. and i have had nothing but great comments (or questionable comments ) (and this is MY car)... there's just something with the color that has helped me attract girls too..

very good pics as well. opened up radio shot looks nice... lets me see how many i need and such....

As long as i'm not the only guy driving in a pink lighted tC.

I like the amber needles...though i was thinking about redoing the needles pink. We'll see one day!

i was gonna do my needles purple.. but haven't had time to go about it yet. we'll see.
